The Wuhan biolab

There are two biolabs in Wuhan. One several miles from the wet market. This one is headed by Yan Yi Wang who has an illustrious career studying bat viruses and how they could be transmitted to humans:

But there’s another biolab just across from the wet market. Where the bat virus supposedly originated. Even though they don’t actually sell bats there.

We westerners have probably never heard of Wuhan before the coronavirus outbreak. But it’s a major city of some 10 million people, not some tiny village. It has some of the tallest skyscrapers in the world there.
