Maxwell Sentence

There are men who hang out at the bus stations of big cities looking for runaway girls.

They befriend them and offer them a place to stay. Then they get them hooked on drugs and force them into prostitution. They take most of the money and threaten them with violence if they try to leave.

Sometimes these pimps get arrested along with the girls, who are charged with prostitution.

Typically these odious pimps get up to 6 years in prison.

Was Ghislaine Maxwell any worse than these pimps?

No one was hooked on drugs, threatened with violence and held against their will.

After flying to a luxury home in New York, London, Arizona or the Caribbean they were taken home.

Was the law broken by Ghislaine Maxwell? Yes. Was she a female panderer? It appears so.

Pandering is encouraging someone to become a prostitute. And these teenage girls were paid money for their “services”. She was not a pimp as a pimp lives on the earning of the prostitutes they control.

Does she deserve prison? Yes. For example in Florida causing a child to be prostituted is a crime under Fla. Stat. 796.03, 796.035 and 796.036. Pandering is punishable by a prison sentence of up to 15 years as well as a fine of up to $10,000.

Does she deserve to spend the rest of her life in prison for her crimes? In my opinion, no as these girls were not mistreated or threatened with violence. They were willing participants and voluntarily returned to Epstein’s mansion, often bringing their friends.
