Over the course of many years Mossad has assassinated many enemies of Israel. Terrorist leaders and even German scientists recruited to build nuclear weapons for Egypt or Iraq. But many of these targeted assassinations were canceled to avoid civilian deaths.

By contrast Hamas, Hezbollah and Palestinians have always made civilians their primary target, with suicide bombers blowing themselves up in buses, restaurants and shopping centres.

And of course on 7 October where they rejoiced in the rape and murder of unarmed young people and setting homes on fire with families inside.

They ran away when armed soldiers arrived.
